Pompeii: The Legacy is a city-building and strategy game developed and published by Siscia Games, an independent studio from Croatia. It was released on PC via Steam on April 9, 2026.
The setting is Pompeii twenty years after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. As the head of a Roman family, you guide the city's rebirth from the ashes. You lay out streets, forums, markets, aqueducts, housing, temples and arenas while meeting the needs of patricians, plebeians and slaves.
What sets it apart is the family and political layer. Your choices play out over decades, and you shape laws, negotiate trade rights and form alliances through marriage or contract. Winning favor with emperors and outwitting rivals can extend your influence far beyond the city walls.
The economy runs on trade routes across the Empire and markets that shift over time. Progress comes from Family Bonuses, Imperial Privileges and two research branches, Technology and Philosophy. Disasters such as earthquakes, fires, famine and plague, plus political sabotage, test how well the city is prepared.
It is a single-player game with adjustable difficulty, save-anytime support and Steam Workshop integration.
It suits fans of historical city builders such as Caesar, Pharaoh or the Imperium series, and players who enjoy long-term planning with a dynasty twist.
Activation: PC keys activate on Steam. The game is listed for Windows only.
Content: The standard game is the full experience. A soundtrack is sold separately on Steam.
Language: Full English audio, with interface text in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and more.
Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, and read how to activate your CD key if you are new to digital keys. You can find media and updates on the Pompeii: The Legacy Steam page.
