Rayman Legends is a 2D platformer developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft. Created under Michel Ancel, the original creator of Rayman, it was first released in 2013 and is the follow-up to Rayman Origins.
The story begins when Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies discover a mysterious tent filled with paintings. They are pulled into a series of mythical worlds hidden inside the artwork and must run, jump, and slap their way through each one to rescue captured Teensies and set things right.
The game is known for its hand-drawn art style, tight controls, and inventive level design. Its musical levels are a highlight: you jump, punch, and zip-line in time to rock-style remixes of well-known songs. There are also 3D boss battles against dragons and other large creatures that attack from every angle.
Rayman Legends supports local co-op for up to four players, who can drop in and out at any time. It includes a large number of levels, among them remastered stages from Rayman Origins, plus daily and weekly online challenges for players who want to compete on leaderboards.
