Ruffy and the Riverside is an open-world 3D platform adventure developed by German studio Zockrates Laboratories and published by Phiphen Games. It launched on June 26, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
You play as Ruffy, the Chosen One, on a quest to stop the villain Groll from destroying the World Core and throwing Riverside into chaos. Along the way you team up with friends such as Pip the sassy bee, Sir Eddler the mole and Silja the wise turtle.
The core mechanic is SWAP. Ruffy can copy the texture and physical properties of one surface and paste them onto another. Freeze a river by pasting ice onto water, turn stone into wood to build a boat, or change a wall into rubble to clear a path. Most puzzles invite more than one creative solution.
Between the 3D areas, Ruffy leaps into 2D side-scrolling levels with their own swap-based obstacles and treasures. The open world spans seven outer regions with side quests, hay bale riding, rail tricks and secrets, and a Pix tool even lets you design your own textures.
It is a single-player game with full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense, and the Steam version also runs on Linux.
It suits fans of collect-a-thon platformers like Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64, families, and puzzle lovers who enjoy experimenting with the environment.
Activation: PC keys activate on Steam. Console codes redeem on PlayStation Network, a Microsoft account or the Nintendo eShop.

Region: Console codes are often region-locked, so match the code region to your account.
