What is SCARLET NEXUS?

SCARLET NEXUS is an action RPG developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was released on June 24, 2021, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

The game is set in a "brain punk" future where scientists have discovered a psionic hormone in the human brain that grants extra-sensory powers. Grotesque mutants called Others have begun falling from the sky to feed on human brains, and conventional weapons barely affect them. People with strong psychic abilities are recruited into the Other Suppression Force (OSF), humanity's last line of defense.

You choose between two protagonists at the start: Yuito Sumeragi, an energetic recruit from a prominent political family, or Kasane Randall, a mysterious and highly skilled scout. Each character has a separate campaign, and you need to complete both stories to see the full picture.

Combat mixes close-range weapon attacks with psychokinesis, letting you hurl objects from the environment at enemies. You can also borrow powers from your squadmates through the Struggle Arms System, adding abilities such as fire, invisibility, or teleportation to your moves.
