Slitterhead is a horror action-adventure game developed and published by Bokeh Game Studio, the team led by Silent Hill and Siren creator Keiichiro Toyama. It released on November 8, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S.
You play as the Hyoki, a spirit with no memory and no body of its own. Its only goal is to wipe out the Slitterheads, brain-eating monsters that disguise themselves as ordinary people in Kowlong, a crowded city inspired by 1990s Hong Kong.
Possession drives everything. The Hyoki can jump into nearby humans at will, using them to slip past barriers, reach rooftops, or move quickly across the city. In combat, hosts turn their own blood into weapons, and when one body is badly hurt you simply switch to another and keep fighting.
Special humans called Rarities sync more closely with the Hyoki and unlock stronger attacks and unique abilities. Building on these allies is key to surviving bigger fights and uncovering why the Slitterheads appeared. The game is single-player only.
Slitterhead suits players who like Japanese horror, unusual combat ideas, and moody urban settings, especially fans of Toyama's earlier work on Silent Hill, Siren, and Gravity Rush.
