Solasta: Crown of the Magister is a turn-based tactical RPG developed and published by Tactical Adventures. It launched on PC on May 27, 2021 and later arrived on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The game is based on the SRD 5.1 ruleset used by the world's best-known tabletop RPG.
You create a party of four heroes, choosing race, class and personality and rolling for stats, just as you would at a pen-and-paper table. Each hero reacts in dialogue based on their personality, so your party feels like part of the story.
Combat is squad-level and turn-based, with initiative rolls, attacks of opportunity and verticality. Light and darkness matter: some enemies have darkvision, while a torch can reveal threats or attract monsters. Bridges can collapse and the environment often opens new tactical options.
The campaign sends you through ruins and dungeons in the shattered world of Solasta to uncover the truth behind an ancient cataclysm. You can play solo or in online co-op, and Steam Workshop support adds community-made content.
It suits tabletop RPG players, fans of tactical turn-based combat and anyone who wants a faithful digital take on classic dice-driven rules.
PC (Steam): PC keys activate on Steam, and the license also covers the macOS version.
Consoles: Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions are sold as Microsoft Store or PlayStation Network codes and can be region-locked.
DLC: Expansions such as Lost Valley, Palace of Ice and Inner Strength need the base game. Check whether an offer is the game or an add-on.
Check the activation platform and region on each offer, then follow our guide on how to activate your CD key. If you want the newer follow-up, you can also compare Solasta II prices. For news and updates, visit the official Solasta website.
