SpellRogue is a turn-based tactical roguelike deckbuilder developed by Guidelight Games and published by Ghost Ship Publishing. It was released on April 24, 2025, for Windows PC through Steam.
Combat revolves around Mana Dice. Each turn you roll dice to power your spells, then reroll, duplicate, split, flip or enchant them to fit the cards in your hand. Luck plays a part, but careful dice manipulation is what turns a bad roll into a winning turn.
Enemies fight back by disrupting your spells and dice directly. Mushrooms spread debuffs across your spells, fire elementals make spells dangerous to cast, and Voidbringers curse your dice to roll poorly, so each encounter asks you to adapt.
You choose from several Dice Slingers, each with an elemental style, such as Azar the fire conjurer, Hazel the earth mage and Lapis the water seer. Runs pull from more than 350 spells with upgrades, 75-plus enemies and over 145 artifacts.
The world has been corrupted by meteors sent by the Voidbringers, and your journey crosses regions like the Deadwoods and the Scorched Desert. A Descent system raises difficulty for experienced players, and Daily Challenges add fresh runs with leaderboards. Because each run is short and the spell pool is large, no two attempts play out the same way, which keeps the game replayable long after the first win.
SpellRogue suits fans of deckbuilders and dice games who enjoy tactical, turn-based puzzles and want plenty of build variety in each run.
Activation: Keys activate on Steam for Windows PC.
Editions: The standard edition contains the full game. A separate Supporter Pack is optional and does not add required content.
