SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is a 3D platformer developed by Purple Lamp Studios and published by THQ Nordic. It is a remake of the 2003 console game and was released on June 23, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Plankton has unleashed an army of robots on Bikini Bottom, and it is up to SpongeBob and his friends to stop them. You explore familiar locations from the cartoon, such as Jellyfish Fields and Rock Bottom, collecting Golden Spatulas, shiny objects, and Patrick's lost socks.

You switch between three playable characters, each with their own skills. SpongeBob uses bubble attacks and the bubble bowl, Patrick can lift and throw objects, and Sandy swings with her lasso and glides. Many areas require a specific character, which keeps the platforming varied.

The remake rebuilds the game with modern visuals and higher resolutions, and it restores content that was cut from the original, including the Robo-Squidward boss fight. A new Horde Mode adds two-player co-op, both online and local split screen, where players fight waves of robots.
