StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void is a real-time strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment, released on November 10, 2015 for Windows and macOS. It closes the StarCraft II trilogy that began with Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm. The campaign puts you in command of Artanis, hierarch of the Protoss, as he tries to retake the homeworld of Aiur and unite his divided people against Amon, a fallen Xel'Naga.
Missions mix base building, resource gathering and army control with campaign-specific objectives. Between battles, the Spear of Adun serves as your flagship, where you choose upgrades and unit variants for the next fight. Legacy of the Void is a standalone release, so you do not need the earlier campaigns to play it.
The expansion also added Archon Mode, where two players share control of one base, and co-op missions with playable commanders. A StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void key suits RTS players who want the Protoss story and its conclusion. Fans of Blizzard's other strategy work can also look at Warcraft III: Reforged.
