SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition is a turn-based tactics game from Swedish studio Image & Form, released on the Nintendo Switch eShop on December 28, 2017. It packages the original SteamWorld Heist with all previously released DLC, including The Outsider expansion, which is woven into the main campaign from the start.
You command Captain Piper and her crew of steam-driven robots as they board, loot and shoot their way through enemy ships. The twist is the aiming: instead of rolling for hit chances, you line up each shot manually, so ricochets and skill shots decide fights. Levels are procedurally generated, and you upgrade recruits with new abilities, weapons and collectible hats. The original release offered 15 to 20 hours of play followed by New Game+.
On Switch you can play in handheld or docked mode, with optional touch screen controls. A SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition key fits tactics fans who prefer skill over chance. If you enjoy the series' world, SteamWorld Dig 2 takes the same robots into a mining platformer. Visit the official Nintendo eShop page for details.
