Synduality: Echo of Ada is a PvPvE extraction shooter developed by Game Studio Inc. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It released in January 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Each sortie follows the extraction loop. You leave an underground base, ride to the surface in a mech, collect AO Crystals and other resources, fight monsters and decide when to head home. If your mech is destroyed, you lose it and the supplies you carried, which other players can scavenge.

Two systems define the game. The Cradlecoffin is a two-legged mech with its own endurance, load capacity and operating time, and you customize it with parts and weapons crafted from your haul. The Magus is a humanoid AI partner with its own personality and look, who helps in combat, gives feedback on past sorties and can trigger special abilities.

The setting is the year 2222. A poisonous rain called the Tears of the New Moon has wiped out most of humanity and created monsters known as Enders. You play as a Drifter, sharing the surface with Enders, toxic weather and rival players.

The game suits players who enjoy mech customization, tense risk-and-reward loot runs and a mix of PvE and PvP. Note that Bandai Namco plans to move it to an offline-only format after May 2027.

Which version should you buy?

• PC (Steam): PC keys activate on Steam and need a broadband connection for online sorties.

• PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: Console codes redeem on PlayStation Network or a Microsoft account. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version.

• Extra content: Season content packs and in-game purchases are sold separately. Check whether a listing is the base game or add-on content.
