What is Teardown?

Teardown is a physics-based heist and sandbox game developed and published by Tuxedo Labs. After early access, it fully released on PC on April 21, 2022, and later arrived on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with Saber Interactive handling the console release.

Every object in the world is made of voxels and can be broken. Walls, floors, vehicles and buildings react with realistic physics, fire, smoke and water, so you can create your own shortcuts with a sledgehammer, a truck or a pile of explosives.

The campaign has 40 missions. A struggling demolition business takes a shady job and gets pulled into a story of revenge, betrayal and insurance fraud. Many missions ask you to prepare a route first, then grab targets against a strict alarm timer.

Sandbox mode gives unlimited resources for free-form destruction. On PC, online multiplayer supports up to 12 players, and a built-in editor with Lua scripting and Steam Workshop support has produced thousands of community mods.

Teardown suits players who like creative problem solving, physics toys and planning a perfect run before the clock starts.

Missions often reward creative thinking over speed alone. You might drive a truck through several walls to build a straight escape route, or use explosives to open a shortcut between buildings. Hidden valuables scattered across each map help you upgrade your expanding set of tools for later jobs.
