The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is an action RPG developed by Square Enix and Claytechworks and published by Square Enix. It comes from Team Asano, the creators of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default, and launched on June 18, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
It is the first time the team has paired its HD-2D visual style with real-time action. Combat has no turns or party system. You choose from seven weapon types, equip two at a time, and switch between them during fights.
Elliot also has a dash, a shield for blocking and parrying, bombs for opening walls, and a warp that teleports him to his fairy companion, Faie. Magicite fragments found in chests and shrines add extra effects to weapons. Dungeons mix combat with puzzles and platforming.
The story follows Elliot, an adventurer who travels through time to save the kingdom of Huther. Human history on the continent of Philabieldia is split into ages, from the Age of Myth to the present Age of Safekeeping, and Elliot helps people across each era. The game has three endings.
A second player can take control of Faie, who fights with her own abilities and helps with puzzles. It suits fans of Square Enix RPGs, classic action-adventure games, and players who love detailed pixel art.
PC: PC keys activate on Steam.
