The Crew 2 is an open-world racing game developed by Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft. It was released in June 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and it is the sequel to The Crew from 2014.
The map is a condensed version of the entire United States, from New York and Miami to Las Vegas and Los Angeles, with mountains, deserts, rivers, and coastlines in between. You can drive, ride, sail, or fly across it, and a quick-swap feature lets you change from a car to a boat or plane in an instant.
Progress is built around a fame system. Events are split into four families: street racing, off-road, freestyle, and pro racing. Disciplines range from drift and drag to motocross, rally raid, powerboats, aerobatic planes, and touring cars. Winning earns new parts, money, and followers, which unlock new vehicles and events.
The Crew 2 includes a large garage of licensed vehicles and detailed customization for paint, liveries, and performance parts. Photo mode and a free-roam world full of skill challenges give you plenty to do between races.
You can team up with up to three friends in an online crew or compete in PvP modes. Since October 2025, an official offline mode also lets you play the core game without a connection. The game suits players who enjoy arcade-style racing, variety, and exploring a huge map at their own pace.
PC: Keys usually activate on Ubisoft Connect or Steam. Steam copies also need a Ubisoft account.
