The Lara Croft Collection is an action-adventure double pack for Nintendo Switch, ported and published by Feral Interactive. It released on June 29, 2023 and contains two isometric spin-offs originally made by Crystal Dynamics: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (2010) and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (2014).
Unlike the main Tomb Raider games, both titles use a top-down camera with arcade-style pacing. You run and gun through hordes of undead and mythical creatures, swing across gaps with a grappling hook, dodge traps, and collect gems and artifacts that improve your gear and abilities.
Puzzles are a big part of each level. Optional Challenge Tombs test your timing and logic with boulders, pressure plates, and switches, and many solutions get more interesting with a partner. In Guardian of Light, the story pits Lara against the Mayan spirit Xolotl, while Temple of Osiris moves the action to the deserts of Egypt.
Co-op is the highlight. Guardian of Light supports two players, with the second taking control of the warrior Totec, and Temple of Osiris supports up to four players. The collection lists 1 to 4 players on one system, with one compatible controller needed per player.
The Lara Croft Collection suits Switch owners who want a lighter, arcade-style Lara Croft adventure, families and friends looking for couch co-op, and fans who missed these spin-offs on other systems.
