The Planet Crafter is an open-world survival crafting game about terraforming, developed and published by the French studio Miju Games. It left Early Access with a full release on April 10, 2024 for PC, and arrived on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on July 21, 2026.

You land on a hostile planet with one job: make it habitable for humans. At first you manage thirst, oxygen, health, and temperature while gathering minerals from the surface. Those resources feed a crafting tree of tools, equipment, and base parts that lets you stay outside longer and travel further.

The core loop is terraforming. Machines such as heaters, drills, and vegetube units push up the planet's heat, oxygen, and pressure values. As the numbers rise, the world visibly changes, from bare rock to moss, insects, lakes, thick forests, and eventually animals. New building tiers unlock at each stage, so progress always feels tied to what you see.

The planet also hides old shipwrecks and ruins that reveal a story about who was there before you. Difficulty presets range from a relaxed experience to a hardcore survival setup, and custom game options let you tune the challenge.

You can play solo or invite friends into online co-op to build and terraform together. The game suits players who like base building, steady long-term goals, and calm exploration more than combat.

Which version should you buy?

• PC: Most PC keys activate on Steam. The game needs 64-bit Windows 10 or later and around 4 GB of storage.

• PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: Console codes are redeemed on PlayStation Network or a Microsoft account. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version.

• Expansions: Paid DLC such as Planet Humble is sold separately and needs the base game to play.
