The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits is the 20th expansion pack for The Sims 4, developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It was released on October 2, 2025, and focuses on travel, outdoor recreation, and group activities for Sims of every age.
The headline feature is Getaways. You plan a trip for one Sim or a whole group, choose how long it lasts, and set a schedule of activities at a venue, from relaxing retreats to tougher challenges. Elimination Rules turn a Getaway into a contest, where Sims compete on goals like skill or relationship gains. You can build your own Getaway venues and share them on the Gallery.
The pack adds the coastal world of Gibbi Point, split into Wanderwood Wilds, Crystal Valley, and Jellyfish Junction. Sights include an erupting geyser, a glowing bay, and a lagoon full of jellyfish, plus boardwalk festivals. Ready-made Getaways such as Camp Gibbi Gibbi, Revive and Thrive, and Love Highland are included.
Children get special attention. Imaginary friends come in four doll styles and four personalities, and Formative Moments can give kids new traits. New skills include Papercraft, Entomology, Diving, and Archery, alongside activities like kayaking, butterfly catching, and hide and seek. A Park Worker career leads to Park Ranger or Camp Counselor roles.
Adventure Awaits suits players who want structured outings, family stories, and more outdoor things to do in their saves.
