TRON: Catalyst is a top-down action-adventure game developed by Bithell Games and published by Big Fan Games and Devolver Digital. It was released on June 17, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with macOS support on Steam.
You play as Exo, a courier program working in the capital of the Arq Grid, a digital world created by Kevin Flynn. After a delivery explodes, Exo gains a power called the Glitch, which lets her trigger time loops and replay events with new knowledge.
Combat centers on Exo's Identity Disc. You throw it, parry incoming attacks, dodge, and kick the disc back at enemies. You can also steal enemy code to copy their fighting styles, and Data Shards collected across the world upgrade Exo's abilities.
Light Cycles return for travel between areas and for set combat sequences. The game is built from several large levels rather than one open world, and choices made during loops influence how the warring factions of the Grid react to you.
TRON: Catalyst is single-player only. It is a direct sequel to the visual novel TRON: Identity and suits fans of the TRON films, story-driven action games, and time-loop mysteries.
Mike Bithell, known for Thomas Was Alone and Subsurface Circular, directed and wrote the game. The neon visual style follows the look of the films, and each time loop gives you a chance to act on what you learned in the previous one.
PC: Keys usually activate on Steam and support Windows, with macOS also listed on the store.
Consoles: Console codes redeem on PlayStation Network, a Microsoft account, or the Nintendo eShop.
Story: TRON: Identity is not required, but it adds background to the setting.
