Until Then is a narrative adventure game developed by Polychroma Games and published by Maximum Entertainment. It launched on June 25, 2024 for PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5, and later arrived on Nintendo Switch in 2025.
You play as Mark Borja, a high school student in a version of the Philippines that is still rebuilding after a disaster. A chance meeting sets off a chain reaction: people start to disappear, memories prove unreliable, and Mark and his friends try to uncover a hidden truth before it is too late.
The gameplay is relaxed and story-first. You walk through school halls, homes and city streets, talk with classmates and family, and use an in-game phone to read messages and social media posts. Short, story-linked minigames break up the dialogue without demanding fast reflexes.
What makes the game stand out is its presentation. Detailed hand-crafted pixel art, cinematic camera work and a grounded Filipino setting give everyday moments real weight, and the story moves between warm slice-of-life scenes and a growing mystery.
Until Then is a single-player experience. It suits players who enjoy visual novels, coming-of-age stories and character-driven mysteries more than combat or challenge.
PC: PC keys activate on Steam. The game supports full controller play and runs on modest hardware.
Consoles: Console versions are sold through the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop, so match the key to your console and account region.
Afterimages DLC: Until Then: Afterimages adds two new story chapters and requires the base game.
Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, and read our guide on how to activate your CD key. For news and updates, visit the official Until Then website.
