Urban Myth Dissolution Center is an episodic mystery adventure developed by Hakababunko and published by Shueisha Games. It launched in February 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
You play as Azami Fukurai, a new staff member at a private center that deals with urban myths, cursed relics, shady rental properties and dimensional anomalies. Her boss is Ayumu Meguriya, the center's director and a Level S psychic who takes on the strangest requests from clients across the city.
Each case is detective work. You explore locations, collect circumstantial evidence and read social media posts to separate rumor from truth. Azami's glasses let her see people's intentions and lingering thoughts, which helps uncover what clients are hiding and why they ran into each oddity.
The game is single-player and told in chapters, with each solved myth leading to unexpected consequences and hidden truths. Its striking psychedelic pixel art and internet-age horror themes give it a distinct identity, and many of the myths are drawn from the kind of rumors that spread online and across social networks.
It suits fans of story-driven mystery games, visual novels with investigation, and Japanese occult fiction. No reflex-based action is required, so the focus stays on reading, observing and deduction. Controller support on PC makes it comfortable to play from the couch as well.
PC (Steam): Keys activate on Steam. The game supports full controller play.
PlayStation 5: Codes redeem on the PlayStation Store with a PSN account.
Nintendo Switch: Codes redeem on the Nintendo eShop with a Nintendo Account.
Always confirm the activation platform and region on each offer. Our guide covers how to activate your CD key, and you can view the game on the official Urban Myth Dissolution Center Steam page.
