Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is a turn-based tactics game developed by Bulwark Studios and published by Kasedo Games. It launched for PC on November 15, 2018, with macOS and Linux support, and later arrived on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
You command the Adeptus Mechanicus, one of the most technologically advanced factions in the Imperium. As Magos Dominus Faustinius, you lead an expedition to the newly rediscovered planet Silva Tenebris, where ancient Necron tombs are starting to wake.
Each mission has two layers. First you explore a tomb room by room, making choices that can bring rewards or raise the Awakening meter. Then you fight on a grid, where Cognition points power your strongest weapons and abilities. Exploring deeper means better loot but a greater threat, so every mission becomes a test of how much risk you are willing to accept.
Between missions, you upgrade your Tech-Priests with weapons, servo-skulls, and mechanical augments, and choose disciplines that define each class. Decisions on your ship, the Caestus Metalican, shape the story, which was written by Black Library author Ben Counter and leads to one of several endings.
The campaign covers 50 hand-crafted missions. It suits single-player fans of tactics games, Warhammer 40,000 lore, and players who like customizing a squad over a long campaign.
PC: PC keys activate on Steam and also run on macOS and Linux.
Consoles: Console codes are redeemed on PlayStation Network, a Microsoft account, or the Nintendo eShop, depending on the version.
Heretek DLC: The Heretek expansion adds new content and needs the base game. It is sold separately.
Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, and read our guide on how to activate your CD key. More about the game is on the official Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus website.
