Wildgate is a multiplayer PvPvE shooter developed by Moonshot Games and published by Dreamhaven. It launched on July 22, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with cross-platform multiplayer.
Each match puts you in a crew of prospectors flying a shared ship through the Reach, a procedurally generated region that changes every game. Crew members split jobs such as piloting, manning cannons, repairing damage and keeping the ship stocked with ice, fuel and ammo.
The fun comes from mixing ship combat with on-foot action. You can blast rivals with cannons and gadgets, lay traps, or board enemy ships to sabotage them, while cosmic storms, space creatures and alien ruins full of loot add PvE danger.
Three modes are available. Artifact Brawl rewards the first crew to grab the Artifact and escape through the Wildgate, or the last crew flying. Fleet Battle pits two teams of up to 12 players against each other, and Treasure Hunt is a more relaxed salvage-and-escape mode. Each prospector has unique abilities and tools.
Teamwork matters more than raw aim. A crew that communicates can repair hull breaches, reload cannons and steer around hazards at the same time, while a disorganized ship can be boarded and sabotaged in seconds. Because the Reach is regenerated for every match and new prospectors arrive through updates, no two sessions play out quite the same way, which gives the game strong replay value for regular groups of friends.
It suits players who enjoy chaotic team play, cooperative ship management and matches where plans change quickly.
Activation: PC keys activate on Steam; console versions redeem on PlayStation Network or a Microsoft account.
Editions: The Renegade Edition bundles the base game with the Renegade Pack DLC, which is also sold separately; both include every mode.
Online: Wildgate is online-only, so a stable internet connection is required for every match.
