Wizard of Legend 2 is a fast-paced action rogue-lite developed by Dead Mage and published on Steam by Balor Games. It is the sequel to the 2018 indie hit Wizard of Legend and launched in Steam Early Access in October 2024. Steam lists the full release date as June 12, 2025.
The biggest change from the original is the move from pixel art to vibrant 3D visuals. The core idea stays the same: you play as a wizard taking on the Trials of Legend, a series of dangerous magical challenges in the Floating Lands, created by the wizard Hieronymus to find someone worthy of becoming a legend.
Combat is built around Arcana, the spells you equip and combine. You mix elemental attacks, dashes, and signature abilities, then experiment with combinations to discover powerful synergies. Each run reshuffles rooms, enemies, and rewards, so no two attempts play out the same way.
Wizard of Legend 2 also adds proper multiplayer support. You can team up with up to three friends in online co-op, or play together through LAN or local shared-screen co-op, making it a strong pick for group play as well as solo runs.
