Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a soulslike action RPG developed by Leenzee and published by 505 Games. It launched in July 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and it was also included in Xbox Game Pass at launch.
You play as Bai Wuchang, a pirate who wakes with no memory and is afflicted by the Feathering, a strange illness that is turning people into monsters. The journey takes place in the land of Shu during the late Ming Dynasty, a period of war, famine, and collapse that the game mixes with Chinese myth and folklore.
Combat is tough and deliberate. You learn enemy patterns, dodge and parry at the right moment, and push forward from one checkpoint to the next. Wuchang can switch between several melee weapon types and also use firearms and spells, so builds can lean toward close combat, range, or magic through the skill trees.
The standout system is Madness. As it builds up, Wuchang deals more damage but also takes more, and letting it grow too far brings out an Inner Demon. Managing that risk is central to boss fights. The game is single-player only, with no co-op or PvP.
Wuchang suits players who enjoy demanding melee combat, interconnected areas to explore, large boss battles, and a dark historical setting that feels different from the usual European fantasy.
PC: PC keys usually activate on Steam. The game needs 64-bit Windows 10 and about 60 GB of storage, with an SSD recommended.
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: Console codes are redeemed on PlayStation Network or a Microsoft account. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version.
