Another Crab's Treasure is a soulslike action-adventure developed and self-published by indie studio Aggro Crab, released on April 25, 2024. It is the studio's second game. You play as Kril, a hermit crab whose shell gets repossessed, and you set out across a crumbling ocean kingdom to win it back. Along the way you uncover the cause of the Gunk, a mysterious infection spreading through the polluted sea.
Combat borrows the stamina-driven, punishing structure of games like Dark Souls Remastered, but the shell system gives it its own identity. Kril wears trash such as cans and bottle caps as shells, each with different defense and abilities, and there are more than 50 to find. Umami Techniques learned from sea creatures, such as the Mantis Shrimp punch, add special attacks. Areas range from kelp forests and coral reefs to sand castle cities and deep-sea trenches.
Assist options make it approachable for newcomers to the genre, while the default difficulty still challenges veterans. An Another Crab's Treasure CD key gives you the full game; check the official Steam store page for current DLC.
