Battlezone Gold Edition is a first-person tank combat game developed and published by Rebellion, the studio behind Sniper Elite 4. It reimagines the 1980 arcade classic with neon-lit sci-fi landscapes and arrived on PC on May 11, 2017. Originally built for virtual reality, this edition is fully playable on a standard monitor as well as with a SteamVR headset.
You command the Cobra, a heavily armed tank, through a procedurally generated campaign where environments, enemies and missions change on every run. The campaign supports 1 to 4 players in online co-op, and you unlock stronger tanks, weapons and special equipment such as laser-guided missiles, artillery, EMPs and shield boosts as you progress. Classic Mode recreates the original two-track controls with worldwide leaderboards.
The Gold Edition bundles the base game with all extra content released to date: the Horn Pack, three skin packs and the Bobblehead pack. A Battlezone Gold Edition CD key is a low-cost way to get the complete package, especially for VR owners. Find more details on the official Battlezone site.
Play With or Without VR: The Gold Edition runs on a regular screen or in SteamVR, so you do not need a headset to play.
1-4 Player Co-op Campaign: Fight through the campaign alone or team up online with up to three other tank commanders.
Procedural Campaign: Environments, enemies and missions are mixed for each playthrough, so no two campaigns play the same.
Upgradeable Arsenal: Unlock new tanks, weapons and equipment, including laser-guided missiles, artillery, EMPs and shield boosts.
All Bonus Content Included: The Horn Pack (10 horns), Military Camo, Hi-Viz and Safari Camo skins (15 skins) and an 8-piece Bobblehead pack come in the box.
Classic Mode: Replay the arcade original's two-track controls and compete on worldwide leaderboards.
Steam Features: Full controller support, Steam Achievements, Trading Cards, Cloud saves and Remote Play on TV are supported.
