Chained Echoes: Ashes of Elrant is the official downloadable expansion for the 16-bit style RPG Chained Echoes. It was developed by Matthias Linda (Umami Tiger), published by Deck13, and released on August 7, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The expansion returns to the continent of Valandis with a new story chapter that explores the Order of Leonar and its roots. It adds a new playable character, the White Wolf, whose full identity is revealed through play.

New areas come with more than 40 new monsters and bosses, built for the same turn-based Overdrive combat system as the main game. Fifteen new music tracks by Eddie Marianukroh accompany the new content.

A full fishing mini-game is also included, along with side quests and hidden secrets. The publisher estimates the expansion offers around 10 to 15 hours of content.

Like the base game, Ashes of Elrant is single-player. It suits players who finished Chained Echoes and want more story, battles, and exploration in the same world.

The expansion keeps the 16-bit pixel art style and tactical battle design of the original, so it feels like a natural continuation rather than a separate game. The White Wolf adds a new party option, and the extra bosses give experienced players fresh fights to plan around.
