Criminal Archives: Alphabetic Murders Collector's Edition is a hidden-object puzzle adventure (HOPA) developed and published by Do Games Limited and released on Steam on May 1, 2023. It is part of the Criminal Archives detective series. Local constable Melinda Watson brings you in on a case involving three victims who, at first, seem unconnected. As you dig further, you learn they were acquaintances and business associates, and the deaths look less and less random.
The story moves through crime scenes and suspects' homes, including one where a masked intruder steals a victim's documents while his wife, Norma, claims she never knew such papers existed. Gameplay follows the classic HOPA loop: search detailed scenes for listed items, combine objects in your inventory and solve logic puzzles and mini-games to open new areas. The Collector's Edition adds a bonus chapter after the main story, in which you investigate a celebrity's sudden reaction to a dress and clear a friend of false accusations. Collectibles are hidden in every location, and achievements reward careful play.
