Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a survivor-like auto-shooter developed by Danish studio Funday Games and published by Ghost Ship Publishing. After Early Access, version 1.0 launched on September 17, 2025 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, with PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions following on October 7, 2026.
Your weapons fire automatically, so you focus on movement, positioning, and mining. Each run drops a lone dwarf into a cave on Hoxxes IV, where you dig through rock, collect minerals, and survive waves of Glyphid swarms and elite enemies until extraction.
Leveling up during a run offers random upgrades for weapons and stats, so every dive plays out differently. Between runs, you spend gold and minerals on permanent upgrades and unlock new gear.
The four classes from Deep Rock Galactic return: Scout, Driller, Engineer, and Gunner, each with subclasses and signature weapons. Several biomes, escalating hazard levels, and bosses keep the challenge rising. Runs are split into several short stages, so sessions stay compact. It is a single-player game.
The game keeps the look, voice lines, and humor of the original, including Rock and Stone salutes and Mission Control chatter. Paid expansions such as Heavy Duty and Knockout add new content on top of the base game.
It suits fans of Vampire Survivors-style games and Deep Rock Galactic players who want quick solo sessions with the same humor and setting.
PC: PC keys usually activate on Steam. The game runs on modest hardware with about 2 GB of storage.
