Dragon Age: Origins is a party-based fantasy role-playing game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. It first launched in November 2009 and became the opening chapter of the Dragon Age series. You play a Grey Warden, one of the last members of a legendary order, at a time when the darkspawn are returning and the kingdom of Ferelden is falling into civil war. Your task is to unite the shattered lands and slay the Archdemon that leads the Blight.
The game is built around companions, dialogue and consequences. You recruit a party of distinct characters, decide who to trust and make moral choices that change how the story plays out. Combat lets you pause, issue orders and set up spells and abilities for each party member, which rewards planning over reflexes. The Ultimate Edition sold on Steam bundles the base game with the Awakening expansion and all nine content packs, including The Stone Prisoner, Leliana's Song and Witch Hunt. The game holds a Metacritic score of 91.
A Dragon Age: Origins CD key is the cheapest way to start the series before moving on to Dragon Age 2. It suits players who enjoy long, story-driven RPGs with real decisions, and it runs on almost any modern PC. See the official Steam page for edition details.
