Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain is a third-person action shooter developed by Yuke's and published by D3PUBLISHER. It first launched on PlayStation 4 and arrived on Steam on October 15, 2019. Unlike the numbered entries in the series, Iron Rain uses its own setting: the year is 2040, alien Aggressors have ruined the world, and you join the EDF as one of the soldiers trying to push them back.
The campaign spans more than 50 missions across five difficulty levels, packed with giant insect-like creatures and huge invader weapons. You choose one of four PA Gear suits, each with its own movement and loadout options, and pick from hundreds of weapons and items. A character creator lets you set gender, face, hairstyle, build, voice and outfit. You can play solo, share a screen with a friend offline or join online co-op with other players, and the PC release also lists online PvP.
Iron Rain suits players who enjoy over-the-top horde shooting with friends and a long list of unlockable gear. An Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain CD key unlocks the PC version on Steam. If you prefer the classic mainline formula, Earth Defense Force 5 is also listed on our site.
Mission lists, DLC and screenshots are on the official Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain website.
