ELEX II is an open-world action role-playing game developed by Piranha Bytes, the German studio behind the Gothic series and Risen 2: Dark Waters, and published by THQ Nordic. It launched in March 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The game returns to Magalan, a post-apocalyptic world that mixes science fiction and fantasy, several years after hero Jax defeated the Hybrid in the first ELEX.
A new threat, the Skyands, arrives from the sky and spreads the dangerous power of dark Elex. Jax must convince the planet's rival factions to unite against the invaders while searching for his son, Dex. The world is hand-crafted and large, and your jetpack lets you cross it freely and even fly. NPCs remember your actions, can join or leave your group based on your behavior, and can be killed, which changes how the story unfolds. Combat covers both melee and ranged weapons with a reworked control system, and the game runs on the sixth iteration of Piranha Bytes' Genome engine.
An ELEX II CD key suits players who like classic, systems-driven European RPGs where choices carry weight and the world reacts to you. Check the official ELEX site for more on the setting.
