Escape Simulator is a first-person puzzle game developed and published by Pine Studio, released on Steam on October 19, 2021. It recreates the escape room experience in a physics-driven 3D space: if an object is not nailed to the wall, you can pick it up, turn it over, smash it or stack it. The built-in rooms were designed with input from real-life escape room operators and are grouped into themed packs such as Labyrinth of Egypt, Adrift in Space, Edgewood Mansion and Omega Corporation.
You can play alone or in online co-op, with up to three players recommended for the official rooms and larger groups supported in community rooms. Clues can be pinned to your screen for cross-referencing, and a full level editor with Steam Workshop support has produced thousands of player-made rooms. Extra rooms include crossover levels themed on Portal and Among Us, plus a versus room for competitive play. The PC version also supports VR. Escape Simulator holds a Metacritic score of 82.
