F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch is a 2.5D Metroidvania action game developed by Chinese studio TiGames and published by Astrolabe Games. It launched on PC in October 2021. Six years before the story begins, the Machine Legion invaded Torch City, a metropolis of anthropomorphic animals. Rayton, a rabbit who fought in the resistance, has lived in hiding ever since, until a friend is arrested and he straps his mechanical fist back on.
The game mixes combo-heavy melee combat with classic backtracking exploration. Rayton earns three weapons, the Fist, the Drill and the Whip, and each one trades off reach, damage and crowd control. A dozen areas link through chambers, tunnels and shortcuts on a seamless map, and new abilities open paths you passed earlier. Bosses use distinct attack patterns, so learning each fight matters more than grinding levels. TiGames built the world in Unreal Engine 4, pairing dieselpunk machinery with oriental-style architecture.
