Highwater is a narrative adventure developed by Demagog Studio, the team behind Golf Club Nostalgia, and published by Untold Tales. It launched on Steam on March 14, 2024. The premise is blunt: Earth has flooded and the planet is doomed, but there is still time to enjoy the view. You guide Nikos and his friends through the drowned remains of the world as they look for a way out.
Play moves between three pillars. You steer a boat across open water to reach new areas, you solve environmental puzzles, and you handle hostile encounters through turn-based tactical combat. Between these beats, the story focuses on the group's relationships and their fight for a chance to escape. A pirate radio soundtrack accompanies the journey, and it is also sold separately as a soundtrack DLC. The game supports 13 interface languages and full controller support, including DualSense.
Highwater suits players who like character-driven stories with light tactics rather than long, punishing campaigns. Picking up a Highwater CD key is an affordable way to try it on PC. More screenshots and trailers are on the official Steam page.
