House Flipper is a first-person renovation simulation game developed by Empyrean and published by Frozen District and PlayWay. It launched on PC on May 17, 2018, and later came to Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
You start as a one-person renovation crew taking small jobs from clients by email. Tasks include cleaning, removing trash, painting walls, laying tiles, fixing radiators, and installing sinks, lights, and doors. Earnings let you buy your first property.
The flipping loop is simple and satisfying: buy a run-down house, tear down or build walls, redecorate with hundreds of furniture items, and sell it. Potential buyers have their own tastes, so planning rooms around their preferences raises your profit.
Skill perks improve speed and efficiency as you work, and Steam Workshop support adds community content on PC. It is a single-player game with no time pressure.
Each tool has its own simple mini-game, from scrubbing dirt with a mop to rolling paint onto walls and placing tiles one by one. Progress is easy to see, and a messy room turning spotless is the main reward. Later DLC added gardens, luxury homes, pets, and a farm setting.
It suits players who enjoy cozy simulators, interior design, and the steady progress of turning a wreck into a clean, attractive home.
PC: PC keys usually activate on Steam and need about 6 GB of storage.
Consoles: PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions redeem on PlayStation Network, a Microsoft account, or Nintendo eShop.
DLC and sequel: Add-ons such as Garden Flipper, Luxury, Pets, and Farm need the base game. House Flipper 2 is a separate game.
