Inkulinati is a turn-based strategy game developed by Polish studio Yaza Games and published by Daedalic Entertainment, the label behind Deponia: The Complete Journey. It released on February 22, 2024, for PC and Mac. The whole game takes place on the pages of medieval manuscripts, borrowing the strange marginalia of the era, where a rabbit's bum can be deadlier than a dog's sword.
You play an Inkulinati Master who draws an army of Beasts with Living Ink. Every Beast has its own skills and class abilities, and combining them well decides each fight. Masters also act directly through Hand Actions, such as smashing enemy units, drawing obstacles, moving your own troops or blowing them up. Each Battlefield adds its own hazards and objects, like exploding Pots of Beans and travelling Hell's Maws, so you must adapt your plan every match. Talents and perks unlock new options as you work toward defeating famous medieval superstars.
Inkulinati earned a Metacritic score of 78 and rewards players who like tight, tactical duels with plenty of humor. An Inkulinati CD key unlocks the full game, and a Supporter Pack is sold as optional DLC.
