Just Cause 4 is an open-world action game developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Square Enix. It launched on December 4, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and holds a Metacritic score of 68 on PC. Rogue agent Rico Rodriguez travels to Solis, a fictional South American country, to lead a rebellion against the Black Hand, a high-tech private army led by Gabriela Morales, while uncovering the truth about his father's past.
Solis covers 100 square kilometers of rainforest, desert, grassland and snowy mountains. Its signature system is extreme weather: tornadoes, lightning storms, sandstorms and blizzards affect physics and can be turned against enemies. Rico's grappling hook is now fully customizable with boosters, airlifter balloons and retractors, so you can build your own stunts and destruction methods. The wingsuit and parachute return for fast travel and skydiving, and the vehicle list spans military jets, helicopters, cars and boats.
On Steam the game is now sold as Just Cause 4 Reloaded, which bundles the base game with several premium packs, alongside Complete and Gold editions. A Just Cause 4 CD key suits players who loved the sandbox chaos of Just Cause 3 or the earlier Just Cause 2. See the official Just Cause 4 page for edition details.
