KILL la KILL -IF is a 3D arena fighting game developed by APLUS and published by Arc System Works. It released on Steam on July 25, 2019, with versions for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The game adapts the 2013 Studio TRIGGER anime created by director Hiroyuki Imaishi and writer Kazuki Nakashima, the team behind Gurren Lagann, and recreates its look with 3D cel-shaded visuals.
Instead of retelling the show, the story mode follows an alternate "what if" scenario told from the perspective of Satsuki Kiryuin, the Honnouji Academy student council president. Every scenario is new and was supervised by Nakashima. Fights are one-on-one in open 3D arenas, with combos, special moves and a mind-game clash system that rewards reading your opponent. Fans can play as Ryuko Matoi, Satsuki and other members of the cast in story, versus, online and training modes.
A KILL la KILL -IF CD key fits fans of the anime and players who want an accessible arena fighter with strong presentation. If you prefer Arc System Works' technical 2D fighters, compare it with Guilty Gear Strive. The official KILL la KILL -IF website lists the full character roster.
