Kona II: Brume is the sequel to Parabole's 2017 snowbound mystery, published by Ravenscourt and released on Steam on October 18, 2023. The setting moves to northern Quebec in 1970, where a mysterious mist called the Brume has wrapped a rural mining village in a distorted reality. You step back into the boots of detective Carl Faubert to find the source of the Brume and stop it.
The game expands the formula of the original Kona with a larger fictional region, Manastan. You search wooden shacks for clues, travel to nearby locations on a dog sled, cross frozen lakes and record everything in Carl's journal. Survival plays a bigger role this time: bitter cold, dangerous wildlife and troubling nightmares all threaten Carl, while survivors of an avalanche need help. An omniscient narrator returns to tell the story as you play.
Kona II suits fans of atmospheric detective stories and survival exploration who prefer a single-player, story-first experience. A Kona II: Brume CD key unlocks the full game on Steam for Windows and Linux. Visit the official Kona II: Brume Steam page for trailers and reviews.
