Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a single-player game that Capcom calls a Kagura Action Strategy title. Capcom developed and published it, and it launched on July 18, 2024. The PC version earned a Metascore of 85. The story takes place on Mt. Kafuku, a mountain covered in defilement, and draws on Japanese culture through Kagura dance, traditional masks and music.
Each stage follows a day and night cycle. During the day you free villagers, purify the area and prepare defenses. At sundown the Seethe pour out of the Torii Gates and target the Maiden Yoshiro. You play as Soh, a swordsman who fights with dance-like attacks while assigning roles to villagers and placing them on the battlefield. Survive until dawn, then guide Yoshiro to the gate so her Kagura dance can cleanse it. Repeat the cycle until the whole mountain is free.
The mix of hands-on combat and tower-defense planning sets it apart from most Capcom action games. Fans of the studio's larger hits such as Monster Hunter Wilds will find a smaller, more tactical experience here. A Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess CD key is the lowest-cost way to add it to your Steam library. See the official Kunitsu-Gami website for trailers and details.
