Level Zero: Extraction is a multiplayer extraction shooter with a survival horror twist, developed by Doghowl Games and published by tinyBuild. It released on Steam for PC on January 29, 2025. Matches are asymmetrical PvPvE: most players take the role of elite mercenaries sent into exclusion zones to recover valuable items, while others play as alien monsters that stalk them in the dark.
As a mercenary you play solo or with friends, fight mutants, turrets and rival squads in first-person combat, and leave through one of several evacuation points before you lose your gear. UV light damages aliens, and you can equip grenades, gun attachments, motion detectors, light traps and perk-granting neurochips. Extracted items raise your reputation with traders and unlock new gear and cosmetics. As the alien you crawl through vents, set face-hugging traps, use screams to startle enemies and EMP waves to kill the lights, then evolve your creature with mutations. Launch maps include a Space Station, the Caves of Turion and a Research Facility.
It suits players who like the tension of extraction games such as Hunt: Showdown but want a sci-fi horror setting and the option to play the monster. A Level Zero: Extraction CD key is the cheapest way in when sellers discount it below the Steam price.
