Mafia: The Old Country is a story-driven third-person action-adventure developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K. It launched on August 7, 2025 and goes back to the roots of organized crime, telling an origin story set in the Sicilian underworld of the early 1900s.
You play Enzo Favara, who escapes a brutal childhood of forced labor and swears an oath to the Torrisi crime family in search of a better life. The campaign follows his rise through a world of protection rackets, rival families and long-running vendettas. Combat leans on the era: close-quarters knife duels with a stiletto, stealth takedowns, and period handguns, rifles and the sawed-off lupara shotgun. Between missions you travel on horseback or in turn-of-the-century cars across vineyards, crumbling ruins, crypts and opera houses.
Like Mafia: Definitive Edition, it is a focused, cinematic single-player game rather than a sprawling sandbox, and it works as an entry point for newcomers. A Mafia: The Old Country CD key unlocks the game on Steam, and several cosmetic packs are sold as separate DLC. See the official Mafia site for trailers and edition details.
