Mario & Luigi: Brothership is a role-playing adventure for Nintendo Switch, published by Nintendo and released on November 7, 2024. It is the first new entry in the Mario & Luigi RPG series in years, and it is built around a sailing theme: a mysterious power has split the world of Concordia into scattered islands, and the brothers have to reconnect them.
Your base is Shipshape Island, part ship and part island, which you steer across the sea and use to launch out of a cannon onto new islands, from tropical rainforests to busy cities. You choose the order of some islands and how to tackle their challenges. Combat is turn-based with timing at its core: well-timed attacks, dodges and counters matter, and Bros. Attacks such as Zapperator deal heavy damage. Battle Plugs add swappable perks, like guaranteed critical hits on flying enemies, while Luigi Logic gives Luigi ideas that help with exploration, puzzles and boss fights. New characters Connie and Snoutlet join, and Peach and Bowser appear along the way.
