Munchkin Digital is the official video game version of Munchkin, the best-selling tabletop card game from Steve Jackson Games. Dire Wolf, the studio known for digital board and card game adaptations, developed and published it, and it launched on Steam on March 9, 2023 for Windows and macOS. The game keeps the original's humor, from the Potted Plant and Drooling Slime up to the Plutonium Dragon.
Each round you kick open Door cards, fight monsters and collect Treasure cards. You build your character by combining Race and Class cards, then equip items like the Boots of Butt-Kicking or the Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment. Curses and rival players get in the way, and backstabbing a friend is part of the plan. The first player to reach Level 10 wins. A tutorial teaches the rules, Solo Challenges add special conditions, and cross-platform online multiplayer lets you play with friends.
