Oddworld: Soulstorm is the second game in Oddworld Inhabitants' planned Oddworld Quintology and a reimagining of the story told in Abe's Exoddus. It first launched in April 2021, and the Enhanced Edition arrived on Steam on June 21, 2022. The story picks up right after the escape from RuptureFarms: 300 freed Mudokon slaves celebrate, but Abe soon learns that his people are far from free.
The game is a side-scrolling action platformer with puzzle and stealth elements. You scavenge items across dusty canyons, abandoned mines, container yards and train terminals, then craft tools and weapons to arm your followers. Each encounter lets you choose a head-on attack or a stealthier route, and how many Mudokons you save shapes which of the four endings you see. The Enhanced Edition is the definitive release of the game on PC, with full audio in English and subtitles in many more languages.
