Planet of Lana is a side-scrolling puzzle adventure developed by Wishfully and published by Thunderful Publishing. It launched on PC and Xbox on May 23, 2023, and later arrived on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation. The story takes place on a planet that once lived in balance between people, nature and animals, until a faceless machine army arrives. The developers frame it as a story about protecting a world rather than a war story.
You control Lana, a young girl searching for her sister, alongside Mui, a small cat-like creature. Most puzzles depend on the two working together: Mui can reach places Lana cannot and can distract or influence creatures, while Lana climbs, hides and pushes objects. Stealth sections ask you to slip past machine patrols, and tense chase sequences test your reflexes. There is no dialogue in a language you can read, so the story plays out through visuals and music.
It is a good pick for players who liked atmospheric puzzle-platformers such as Inside. A Planet of Lana CD key unlocks the full single-player campaign on Steam, and the official Planet of Lana website lists every platform.
Companion-Based Puzzles: Solve challenges by combining Lana's movement with Mui's abilities, so both characters matter in nearly every room.
Stealth Sections: Hide in tall grass, time your moves and avoid machine patrols that capture anyone they spot.
Action Sequences: Survive chases and timed escapes that test your reflexes between slower puzzle areas.
Wordless Storytelling: Follow a story of hope and loss told through visuals, music and animation rather than text.
Hand-Crafted World: Travel through forests, deserts and villages on a planet caught between nature and machines.
Controller Support: Steam lists full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense pads, plus Steam Cloud saves.
Wide Language Support: Interface and subtitles cover more than 20 languages, from English and French to Japanese, Korean and Ukrainian.
