SpellForce 3 Reforced is a real-time strategy game with full role-playing systems, developed by Grimlore Games and published by THQ Nordic. SpellForce 3 first launched on PC on December 7, 2017, and the Reforced version updates it with the improved RTS mechanics, reworked faction designs and skill trees introduced in the later expansions Soul Harvest and Fallen God.
The story is set in the year 518, after the Mage Wars have left the kingdom of Nortander in chaos. A plague called the Bloodburn is spreading, and a zealous movement called the Purity of Light blames mages for every disaster. The campaign takes place before SpellForce: The Order of Dawn and runs for more than 30 hours with full voice acting. You create your own hero, pick skill trees, recruit companions whose stories affect the plot and lead them through quests and battles.
When the fighting scales up, the game shifts to RTS mode: you claim sectors, gather resources, build a base and command armies of Humans, Elves or Orcs. The campaign supports co-op, and multiplayer adds PvP and Domination modes, plus a level editor and Steam Workshop support.
