Super Bomberman R 2 is a party battle game developed and published by Konami, released on September 13, 2023. It follows Super Bomberman R and, according to Konami, carries the largest content volume in the series' history. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
The heart of the game is bomb-placing battles. Standard mode delivers the classic last-player-standing format, Grand Prix splits players into two teams, and Battle 64 drops up to 64 players into a survival match. The new Castle mode is asymmetric: one side defends a treasure chest while the other side attacks it. A Stage Editor lets you build your own Castle stages and share them online. Online play includes Grade Match for ranked games and Room Match for custom lobbies with friends, while offline battles support local players on one system.
