Terraform is a turn-based puzzle and strategy game developed and published by indie studio Holgersson Entertainment. It released on Steam for Windows PC on May 8, 2015. Each level is a small planet built from hexagonal tiles, and your job is to alter its surface until settlements and forests can survive on it.
The game gives you 13 tile types, including mountains, water, soil, forests, deserts, settlements and volcanoes, plus four weather types: fair, rain, hot and snow. Rain fills dried-out lakes, hot weather stops forests from spreading or burns them down, and tools such as shovels, forest seeds, settlers, asteroids and a wind-changing device let you redirect water and shape the land. With 220 planets, a light career story that takes you from university to taking on big corporations, and online leaderboards that rate how efficiently you clear each level, there is plenty to solve.
A built-in level editor and Steam Workshop support let you create and share your own planets. A Terraform CD key is a low-cost pick for puzzle fans who prefer to think at their own pace. See the Terraform Steam page for screenshots.
